Yesterday was a great day for the American competitors at the Olympics–favorite Lindsay Vonn won a gold medal in the women’s downhill ski even though she was injured, and the amazing Shaun White snagged a gold medal in snowboarding!  Have you been following the games?

The opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics will be held tonight in Vancouver.  Some of the events we’ll see this week include figure skating, hockey, luge, boblsed, ski jumping, and snowboarding!  What’s your favorite Winter Olympic event??

New Orleans fans are having huge celebrations in honor of the Saints winning their first Super Bowl ever.  More than 800,000 people attended the team’s victory parade yesterday, which included dancers, marching bands, and members of the team on parade floats.  Sounds like a great welcome home!

The New Orleans Saints won last night’s Super Bowl with a score of 31 – 17.  This is the first Super Bowl win for the Saints in the history of the team!  After the win, the entire city of New Orleans was celebrating.  Are you excited that they won?

This Sunday is the Super Bowl.  The Indianapolis Colts will face the New Orleans Saints.  Both teams had amazing seasons…..who are you rooting for?!?
